At-home pet euthanasia in Greater Jakarta
Your pet stays at home, and you are welcome to message us before you have decided anything.
What happens afterwards
Most families ask about this first, and that is a fair place to start. You may bury your pet at home, or you may prefer cremation.
We talk both options through with you over WhatsApp before the visit, and nothing has to be decided on the same day.
What it costs
The cost depends on your area and on what your pet needs.
We give you the figure over WhatsApp before the veterinarian sets out, so that nothing is a surprise on the day itself.
Is it time yet
The pets we are called for are usually well into their teens, and their owners describe conditions like these:
You are welcome to use the Quality of Life calculator on this site, or simply describe the situation to us on WhatsApp. We will listen and answer your questions without pressing you either way.
- Very old and visibly weakening.
- Refusing food and water for days on end.
- A tumour, or kidney, liver or heart failure confirmed by tests.
- No longer able to stand or move unaided.
- Seizures, laboured breathing, or crying in pain.
How the visit goes
There is no need to take an already weakened pet out of the house.
- The veterinarian comes to your home and explains each step before carrying it out.
- Your pet is sedated first and allowed to fall into a deep sleep.
- Only once your pet is fully asleep is the final step taken.
- You and your family may hold your pet and stay beside them throughout, children included.
- You may change your mind at any point, right up to the last moment.

Frequently asked questions
What do we do with our pet's body afterwards?
Home burial and cremation are both possible, and Kalyanvet will talk these choices through with you over WhatsApp. You do not have to settle it on the same day as the visit.
How much does euthanasia for a dog or cat cost?
The cost depends on your area and on what your pet needs. Kalyanvet gives you the figure over WhatsApp before the veterinarian sets out, rather than afterwards.
Can this really be done at our home, or must we go to a clinic?
It takes place in your own home. A pet who is already weak does not need to make the journey to somewhere unfamiliar.
Can a veterinarian come today?
Kalyanvet can be reached at any hour, and availability for that day is confirmed over WhatsApp. Send us your location and a short description, and we will check straight away.
Will my pet feel any pain?
Your pet is sedated into a deep sleep first, and the final step follows only after that. Once unconscious, the body sometimes moves or takes a deep breath, at a point when nothing is felt.
I have not made up my mind. May I still write to you?
Please do. Describe your pet's situation to Kalyanvet, and you are under no obligation to decide anything during that conversation.
An emergency? Put EMERGENCY at the start of your message
Difficulty breathing, seizures, collapse, poisoning, or bleeding that will not stop needs attention straight away. We are open 24 hours. If it needs oxygen, a transfusion, or hospital care, we help arrange a referral.
Tell us first, decide later
Let us know your pet's age, how long things have been this way, and what has changed lately.
